Tech Support can supply a laptop running Windows or Linux, or a Macbook, for short term loan, depending on how many we have at the time. If you require one please submit a request in advance detailing your requirements, so we can check stock and prepare one for you. The load period would not normally be longer than **1 month** as we don't have that many in stock. When you hand the laptop back, //don't leave any important data on it//, because we'll be re-imaging it and wiping the data off it! Please note - students, PGRs and RAs are required to complete a form on issue of the laptop and agree to the conditions of loan.The conditions are detailed below: This laptop has been loaned to you clean and undamaged with a case and power supply.It must be returned on demand in the condition it was given to you.Please don’t eat, smoke or drink over it.Accidents happen, but take care of it and keep it secure. This laptop must not be taken out of the UK without the express written permission of the Head of Dept.You must pay for the return shipping of it if you take it abroad without getting this permission. If this laptop/equipment is lost or stolen you must inform DCS Tech Support or ITS helpdesk immediately.If it is stolen you will need to provide us with the details of the theft and supply a police crime number. If you break any of these conditions then the Dept. and the University have the right to withold any award certificates or graduation until the situation is made good.You may also be charged for all or part of the cost of the laptop and accessories.
